My Debt
Three years ago, I was sitting comfortably with a nice savings and empty credit cards. Not only that but the booming real estate market increased the value of my house. Things couldn’t have been better and should have been more good things to come. But some events took place that turned things from sizzle to fizzle. The economy turned sour, house values dropped, lost money on investments, I separated from my husband, my income was reduced and no longer had enough to cover my expenses. I started using my credit cards and line of credit to make ends meet and before you know it, deep in debt.
Right now my situation is that I am $25,000 in credit debt. I will need a new car soon because I’m not sure my old one will make it through another winter. I am trying to sell my house but it hasn’t been easy and there won’t be much left in it. I am behind on the property taxes and if it doesn’t sell soon, I could be on the verge of losing the house. So it has to go and I will need to get another place.
First I need to get rid of this credit debt. Then after that I will need to buy a car. It doesn’t have to be new, just newer than my old one. I could look for a cheap one but have to make sure not to get stuck with a lemon, since there are plenty of those out there for sale.
My goal is to be debt-free and any donations or purchases off my site will go towards erasing my debt.
